PUMPKIN PATCH // OLIVE JEANS + PETITE-FRIENDLY PONCHO

October 1, 2016 MAISON JULES PONCHO SWEATER  sz XS,  GUCCI SOHO DISCO BAG , Vince Camuto boots ( VERY SIMILAR ) sz 5, 7FAM jeans ( SIMILAR HERE  or  HERE IN PETITE FOR UNDER $100 ), Talbots striped tee ( SIMILAR ) **Update** Check out  my newer blog post  reviewing four different adorable poncho sweaters that are each under $100! The pumpkin patch at Tougas Farms last weekend was a bustling backdrop for photoshoots galore… babies, engagements, family portraits, you name it! I can’t blame anyone as the colors there were gorgeous and vibrant, reminding me of why this is my favorite season in Boston. After Nick and I shoveled some warm apple crisp (with vanilla ice cream, of course) into our faces, a sweet lady came up and said she had to know where this sweater was from, because it’s so darn frustrating finding ponchos for a shorter frame! I feel her pain, as the nature of these pieces is already roomy and oversized, so finding ones with the right length and amount of v

Home Chef Meal Delivery Kit Review

There are a few companies offering meal kit delivery. They are in the news a bit at the moment, with the best-known provider of such a service, Blue Apron, being in a bit of a legal pickle. It’s an ideal time for competitors to try and capture some of the market share that Blue Apron may well lose considering their current negative press. A great alternative on the other hand is Home Chef. I’ll be honest, I was incredibly skeptical of such a service. I live in New York City: it’s not difficult to find a store selling well-priced fresh food. At the same time, to get the best deals on grocery shopping, you need to buy in bulk. Well, in my household, it’s just me and my fiancée in an apartment. We simply don’t have room for bulk buying to save dollars. My pet peeve is the amount of food waste. The average American wastes one third of food per year. When you consider the amount of people who could really use that food, that’s shameful. But, in saying that, when I end up buying

J. CO DONUTS & COFFEE AT SM MEGAMALL

A few months ago, as I was strolling along Greenbelt 3, I saw a sign about this Donut place that would be opening called "J. CO Donuts and Coffee".  It's supposedly really big in Indonesia and Malaysia, and they've started opening stores in China and Singapore. Last March 15, Rina and I dropped by the opening of J. Co Donuts and Coffee's first Philippine Branch at Megamall to grab us some donuts, just to see what everyone seemed so excited about. Unfortunately, the line that had formed for the opening was ridiculous, and we were told that if we wanted to buy a donut, we might have to wait around two hours. Yes, you read that right. Two Hours. For a DONUT. So to call J. Co's arrival here in the Philippines "a success" would be a massive understatement. As you could imagine, I wasn't planning on standing in line that long so I decided to go back the following Saturday morning, where there was a good sized crowd inside but virtually no li

REVIEW: STARBUCKS - JAVA CHIP FRAPPUCCINO ICE CREAM

Nobyembre 07, 2017 Starbucks Java Chip Frappuccino Ice Cream offers the taste of a Java Chip Frappuccino in ice cream form. Of course they could have just called it Java Chip Ice Cream because it's just coffee ice cream with dark chocolaty chunks. A pint normally sells for $4.99 at my local supermarket but I picked this one up on sale for $2.50. A far as coffee ice cream goes, this one has a rather pronounced creamy, rich, coffee flavor that I like very much. There is a bit of a weird fine sand grittiness to it though. It doesn't bother me much but it might be off-putting for some. I'm really not sure what causes it. While the dark chocolaty chunks don't actually contain chocolate, they do a good job of providing a solid  dark chocolate flavor when you come across one which is good enough for me. I'm a big fan of coffee ice cream and Starbucks Java Chip Frappuccino Ice Cream does a pretty good job of it with a tasty hit of coffee flavor and dark fudge chun

AN HONEST MCDONALDS MCCAFE COFFEE REVIEW

We all have a strange place in our hearts for that one company or brand. It may not be logical, it may not even make sense, but time and time again we revisit its location. Despite all my progress towards a natural life, a healthy way of living, and organic food. I’m a sucker for McDonalds. It may be the late night runs I made during college, the frequent first dates held in the crowded outdoor patio, or more likely, my mother — who instilled in me her love of their french fries. Even today, over 3 years after she passed, I still love to drive a few minutes out of the way just to stop by their cafe. I rarely, if ever, order any food there anymore. It’s usually busy, I’m usually in a hurry, and it doesn’t really fill me up much. Their cafe is something else, though. Strangely left un-phased by the waves of crowds the cafe offers drinks and cakes to go in just about a minute. So I can get right back on the road and keep heading to where I want to be, and so I don’t feel guilty using t

IPHONE X REVIEW FINALLY, THE REBOOTED IPHONE WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR

OUR VERDICT The iPhone X was a huge gamble from Apple, but one that really paid off. Losing the home button and altering the design was a dangerous move, but one that was sorely needed after years of similarity and the premium design, extra power, all-screen front mix together to create - by far - the best iPhone Apple's ever made. It's impossible to give a perfect score to something that costs this much - but this is the closest to smartphone perfection Apple has ever got. Update: We've run some more battery tests on the iPhone X - and it's set some record-breaking scores for an Apple handset. Have a look at our iPhone X battery review page to find out more. The iPhone X is the huge leap forward that Apple's handsets needed. Aside from the original iPhone in 2007, this new iPhone is set to have the biggest impact on Apple’s smartphone direction ever. Apple itself is calling it the future of the smartphone, the embodiment of what it’s been trying to achieve for a
